Platform thinking helps your product being built in such a way that it can receive or pass data to other products to deliver value. ✅ So #platformstrategy or platform thinking becomes very important aspect when developing a #productstrategy, it should be thought from the #mvp stage itself. They range from high-level platforms that enable a platform business model to low-level platforms that provide a collection of business and/or technology capabilities that other products or services consume to deliver their own business capabilities. Platforms (in the context of digital business) exist at many levels. 📗As per Gartner,A #platform is a product that serves or enables other products or services. So product has to be thought as a platform which will have #integration with other products. ➡️ Products cannot solve customer #problems on their own, they should have a capability to talk to your customers existing products including their #datawarehouse. What’s your thoughts on it? Please feel free to share your comments. 👉 Less is more now ! PM’s true mastery is simplifying things not writing lengthy PRDs!! They are so easy to manage and easy convey to all stakeholders including engineering team. 😊 So I was happy when we started using #agile scrum and started writing #userstories. It was such a tedious process and sometimes business stalehokder use to ask to elaborate on a point then sometimes even I won’t remember what I had written in page 12 of 48 page BRD 😄 It was such a difficult thing to ask for when business stakeholders should be focusing most of their time on business optimisation. 🧑💻When I was working in #waterfall model, we had this document called “ #BRD” (Business requirement document) which I use to prepare for months, explain to all business stakeholders in a long meeting and ask them to go back and read through lengthy document and give sign off. True mastery of PM is not creating lengthy PRD document but writing those user stories tagged to epics in such a way that it can be easily consumed by engineering team and there is very less probability of going wrong” 🙋♀️When one of the #aspiring #PM asked me for PRD template, I said “ #PRD is not for true agile development and go for user stories. I wonder the same when some of the PMs share PRD templates!!
